5700 crores commercial in 6 months at the box office, but the signs are not pleasant for the film industry!

The real credit for bringing the box office fighting the Corona epidemic to life goes to South Cinema. First, Allu Arjun’s movie ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, followed by Ram Charan-Jr NTR’s movie ‘RRR’, and Yash’s movie ‘KGF Chapter 2’, earning bumpers at the box office, sent the message that if the movie is good, then it’s nobody. you can stop winning. Meanwhile, two Bollywood movies also performed well including Vivek Agnihotri’s film ‘The Kashmir Files’ and Karthik Aryan’s film ‘Bhool Bhulaiya 2’ directed by Anees Bazmee. Due to the contribution of all these movies, the Indian film industry (Bollywood + South Cinema) has made a business of around Rs 5.7 billion in the last six months (January to June).

Despite this, the film industry is concerned at the moment. The main reason behind this is that after March, the collection of movies at the box office is continuously falling. In the month of June, there was a gross of just Rs 799 crore as compared to March while the film gross in March was Rs 1665 crore. After March, the collection fell to Rs 1484 crore in April and Rs 952 crore in May. Following this, the figure of Rs 799 crore in June has become a matter of concern for the film industry.

Talking about the movies released between April and June, during this time Yash’s movie ‘KGF Chapter 2’, John Abraham’s movie ‘Attack’, Shahid Kapoor’s movie ‘Jersey’, Ajay Devgan’s movie Runway ’34’ , Tiger Shroff The movie ‘Heropanti 2’, Karthik Aryan’s movie ‘Bhool Bhulaiya 2’, Kangana Ranaut’s movie ‘Dhaakad’ and Ayushmann Khurrana’s movie ‘Anek’ have all been released.

Kamal Haasan’s film ‘Vikram’, which was released in June, scored the best this month.

Similarly, in June, Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Samrat Prithviraj’, Adiv Shesh’s film ‘Major’, Kamal Haasan’s film ‘Vikram’, Pankaj Tripathi’s film ‘Sherdil’ and Varun Dhawan ‘Jugjug Jio’. In all these movies, ‘Bhool Bhulaiya 2’ and ‘Jugjug Jio’ have performed better than the rest of the movies. Karthik Aryan’s film has also made many records by grossing Rs 285 crore.

Despite this, the box office receipts of all these films have not even touched the films released in March. The main reason for this is that in March, the Bollywood movie ‘The Kashmir Files’ and the South Cinema movie ‘RRR’ gained a lot at the box office. In this, ‘The Kashmir Files’ has done a business of Rs 340 crores worldwide and ‘RRR’ has done a business of Rs 1100 crores worldwide. Thanks to these two movies alone, this month’s box office takings have been skyrocketing.

If we talk about the top 10 movies released in June, Kamal Haasan’s movie ‘Vikram’ has won the highest, grossing Rs 285 crores at the Indian box office. At number two is Varun Dhawan’s film ‘Jugjug Jio’ which has earned 96 million rupees. In third place is the Hollywood movie ‘Jurassic World’, which has earned 84 million rupees. In fourth place is Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ which has earned Rs 82 million. South’s film ‘777 Charlie’ is in fifth place which earns Rs 62 crore and in sixth place is the film ‘Major’ which earns Rs 56 crore.

After this, there are only movies from the South in 7 to 10 places. In this way, only two Bollywood movies are included in the top 10. If we talk about the top 5 movies released between January and June at the Indian box office, Yash’s movie ‘KGF Chapter 2’ ranks first, whose total earning is Rs 970 crores (World Wide Collection Rs 1198 crores). It is. ‘RRR’ which took Rs 869 crore in second place, ‘The Kashmir Files’ which took Rs 292 crore in third place, Vikram which took Rs 285 crore in fourth place, ‘Bhool Bhulaiya 2’ in fifth place, which got 219 million rupees.

If we talk about July, then only two movies will be released this month, which can be expected to win. She is Ranbir Kapoor’s film ‘Shamshera’ and Kicha Sudeep’s film ‘Vikrant Rona’. The budget of ‘Shamshera’, carried out under the Yash Raj banner, is said to be Rs 150 million. Looking at the kind of response it is getting after watching its trailer and trailer, it is estimated that this movie can do a business of Rs 200 to 250 crore. The film ‘Vikrant Rona’ made with a budget of Rs 100 million is released in many languages of the country and the world. There is more emphasis in this movie which can increase the box office collection upwards.

In this way, the box office collection for the month of July depends entirely on the earnings of ‘Shamshera’ and ‘Vikrant Rona’. If both films performed better, then June’s record may be broken. But breaking March’s record still seems impossible. The second quarter of the year is very important for the film industry. During this time Aamir Khan’s ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Raksha Bandhan’, Vijay Devkonda’s ‘Liger’, Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Brahmastra’ and Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Vikram Vedha’ will be released. All these films are going to be released before September. The profits from these films are now going to decide the future of the film industry.
