Mumbai: Actress-turned-politician Urmila Matondkar criticized BJP leader Arun Yadav’s statement. Yadav said that Dilip Kumar used the Hindu name to earn money as an actor. Dilip Kumar passed away on Wednesday.

Haryana BJP IT Cell and Social Media Head Arun Yadav is discussing his condolence message for Dilip Kumar. He wrote on Twitter, “The passing of Mohammad Yusuf Khan (Dilip Kumar), who earned money by making a Hindu name in the film world, is an irreparable loss to the Indian film industry!” Deepest condolences to the bereaved family! May God give peace to the departed soul. Tribute to Bhavbhi!’

In response to the tweet, Urmila expressed grief and wrote, “You should be ashamed.” She also used a thumb-down emoji. The actress said that it is sad to see that the critically acclaimed work of country legend Dilip Kumar is being trivialised. Need to keep some limit. Dilip Kumar has acted in many socially relevant films.

Urmila said that Dilip Kumar helped the widows of soldiers who died in the Kargil war. Apart from this, he has also done many social works. The actress called Yadav a ‘double standard’. He said that due to this kind of thinking, many people are continuously divided into sects.
