Double XL Public Review: ‘Double XL’ Is An Average Movie About An Important Subject

There was a time when fat people were considered to be at home while eating and drinking. It was believed that rich and wealthy people are overweight. The workers and the poor are thin. But its definition changed with the change of times. Now fat people are despised. They are considered sick. They also make fun of those people. This is called body shaming, in which someone is insulted or humiliated based on their physical appearance. Victims of body shaming have a profound effect on their mind and body. Some people go into depression. Previous movies such as ‘Fanney Khan’ and ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ have been made on this subject. A new film ‘Double XL’ based on body shaming has been released in theaters. It is directed by Satram Ramani.

Huma Qureshi, Sonakshi Sinha, Zaheer Iqbal, Mahat Raghavendra and Kanwaljit Singh have major roles in ‘Double XL’. Huma Qureshi and Sonakshi Sinha play the roles of two women who are unable to grow in their careers due to their obesity. Huma Qureshi’s character name is Rajshree Trivedi and Sonakshi Sinha’s character name is Saira Khanna. Rajshri and Saira’s dreams are very high. One wants to become a sportscaster and the other a fashion designer, but in the midst of making their dreams come true, they get fat. People don’t take them seriously because of their weight. Even because of Saira’s weight, her boyfriend starts cheating on her. Desperate and disappointed, Rajshri and Saira meet in their lives, after which their lives change.

Huma Qureshi, Sonakshi Sinha, Zaheer Iqbal have the lead role in the movie ‘Double XL’.

The movie ‘Double XL’ is made on an important topic. The discussion on this topic is very important at this time. This is the reason why some people are liking the movie so much. However, critics have described it as an average film about a major subject. He says that the theme of the film by Satram Ramani, who has directed a film like ‘Helmet’, is excellent. The casting is perfect, well-intentioned, but somewhere it fails to fully capture the layers of this compelling subject matter. Huma Qureshi has put in a great performance, but Sonakshi Sinha has become a victim of overacting. The same goes for Zaheer Iqbal. They both seem to be overreacting in stores. Alka Kaushal narrates the pain of the mother of a single daughter who has crossed 30. Shubha Khote and Kanwaljit are remembered even in small characters.

Good reactions from the audience are being seen on social networks. Giving 4 stars out of 5 on Twitter, Vishwajeet Patil writes, “The Double XL movie was so much fun to watch. A great movie on a touchy subject. The story is also well written. Huma Qureshi has won hearts with his excellent acting. Sonakshi Sinha, Zaheer Iqbal and Mahat Raghavendra is also good.” Giving the film 4 out of 5 stars, Harsh Patel writes: “Mann is happy. After a long time, I have seen a film like this. Fresh and relevant themes. Brilliant writing and amazing execution. All the actors have done justice to their characters. Especially Huma Qureshi’s acting is the best. The movie has a serious social message. Everyone should watch those movies. The film makers are in luck.

Giving the film 3 stars out of 5, Ramesh Parag writes: “A funny yet inspiring film, in which the sensibilities of female body shamers have been very delicately presented. Some scenes in the film have been overacted, but it’s worth enduring according to the story.” Hira Mehta writes: “What a movie you have made. I have fallen in love with the characters of Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi. The actors have not acted, but have lived their respective characters. The direction is also strong. The story and theme is their own. life. Bollywood should work more on movies based on these themes. Leaving now the fascination with remakes and biopics, movies should be made about social issues. The message given in this movie among comedy is definitely going to impress all viewers .

Film journalist Rekha Khan writes for NBT: “The story of Double XL is so simple that you or any member of your family will not be able to live without identifying with it. Satram Ramani spends a lot of time developing the characters and plot as director. However, it represents two different cities and surroundings. It is expected that with the development of the story you will also see those kinds of Happenings. But the kind of sensibility that is expected on the subject becomes repetition at one point. Huma Qureshi dominates the role of Rajshri. Huma has lived with her heart, a plus size girl from a small town like Meerut, who dreams beyond her capacity. Sonakshi Sinha also does justice to her role as an urban girl, but her character has not had as many layers. The chemistry of both actresses is good on the screen. It can be called an average movie on a major topic.

Senior Journalist Pankaj Shukla writes, “All these thoughts keep coming while watching Double XL movie. The writers also do not know about Meerut that Meerut can now be reached from Delhi in just 45 minutes. They also do not know that the first task of a presenter TV is not to be influenced by the aura of the stars. They also do not know what is the difference between Haute and Kottur in fashion. Everything is happening from above. Meerut’s daughter wants to become a sports presenter ignoring her family members. Delhi’s daughter aspires to become a fashion designer. Every daughter should have dreams. But what is London’s job here in trying to turn dreams into reality? The name of the movie Double XL is an attempt to turn London in a good story. Neither the songs are of the style, nor is anyone’s attention on the acting. The greatest sadness is that the name of Mudassar Aziz is associated with this film, whose lyrics have generated great expectations in the public of Hindi cinema. Watching this movie is a waste of time and money.
