ED contacts Yami Gautam and called for questioning in FEMA violation case

Bollywood actors often get into legal troubles. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has contacted actress Yami Gautam, who got married a few days back. ED’s Mumbai unit has ordered Yami Gautam to appear on July 7. ED has called Yami for questioning next week. According to reports, Yami has received this second summon and has been accused of money laundering.

According to reports, Yami Gautam has allegedly violated FEMA (Foreign Exchange Management Act). There have been some foreign transactions from his bank account. Yami Gautam will have to appear before the ED on July 7, 2021 and give a statement.

According to media reports, Yami is under investigation for alleged irregularities in foreign exchange. It will be inquired why and with whom the foreign money was transacted.

Last month Yami Gautam was in discussion about her marriage. Yami was married to Aditya Dhar, director of ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ on 4 June 2021. Yami and Aditya surprised everyone by announcing their marriage on social media on June 4. After a few days of marriage, Yami returned to Mumbai with her husband. After reaching Mumbai, Yami Gautam has started shooting for her upcoming film ‘A Thursday’. At the same time, her husband and director Aditya Dhar has joined hands with Vicky Kaushal in the preparation of the film ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’.
