The Exciting World of ‘Fast and Furious’

‘Fast and Furious’ is an action film. There is a lot of dose of car, speed and action in every story of this film. The first film of this franchise came in 2001 and its name was ‘The Fast and Furious’. For this film, the makers took many cars and for some scenes they took the name of Picture Car Department. In the first film itself, the makers converted around 78 cars.

How many cars have been used so far?

According to a report, the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise has used 2300 cars in the films so far. The first part used 78 cars, the second part ‘2 Fast 2 Furious’ used 130 cars, ‘The Fast and Furious – Tokyo Drift’ used 249 cars. Similarly, 190 cars were seen moving in the fourth part, 260 cars in the fifth part ‘Fast Five’, 350 cars in ‘Fast and Furious 6’, 230 cars in ‘Furious 7’. On the other hand, the makers of the franchise used 350 cars in the chase sequence in the eighth part ‘The Fate of Furious’, 250 cars in F9 and more than 250 cars in the tenth part ‘Fast X’.

Cars will fly in the 11th part too, but how many?

Now the last and 11th part of this franchise will come, for which it is believed that the makers will use super luxury cars. There have also been some spin-offs of this franchise, in which many cars have also been called Khurda.

Where do the cars come from?

Where Do The Cars For The ‘Fast & Furious’ Franchise Come From? First of all let us say that these cars are real. Apart from the real cars, the makers have also bought expensive-luxurious cars for the films of this franchise. 40-50 good condition cars are bought for every film. Many of which are second hand. These 40-50 cars are the ones that were used in the chase sequence.

drive one car, take out the trash from the other

The vehicles that you see coming out of the wreckage, which go flying with a bang, their math is different. These cars are brought from junkyards. They are old and have been bought for scrap and modified to look like new. In the chase sequence, the makers use well prepared cars and when the car is to be blown up, a modified car brought from the junkyard is blown up as required in the sequence. The junkyard car and the real car are edited with special effects in a way that the audience cannot understand.

Fans also gift cars

In the last 22 years, ‘Fast and Furious’ has a tremendous fan following. Many times fans give their old cars for shooting as per the requirement of the makers. Especially the owners of big garages give their rusted old cars for shooting.

What happens to the cars that come out of the junkyard?

Some of the stunt cars used in the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise have been restored and reused. Some special cars have been sent to the museum. But some cars which are not useful at all are later scrapped. The Ford Escort RS 1600 used by Paul Walker in ‘Fast and Furious 6’ was later restored. An awesome jump scene was shot with this car. Two stunt cars were used for this scene. Out of which one car was completely destroyed while the other car was in slightly better condition. So later it was restored.
