Oscar Nominations 2023: The final nominations for Oscars 2023 have been announced. In which the song ‘Naatu Naatu’ from the film ‘RRR’ has got a nomination in the category of ‘Best Original Song’. While the official entry Oscar for Best International Film from India has been given to the Gujarati film ‘Chelo Shaw’ in 2023. The film ‘Chelo Shaw’, directed by filmmaker Pan Nalin, could not find a place in the nomination for the Final International Feature Film. The film ‘The Last Show’ is now out of the Oscar 2023 race.
Apart from RRR’s Natu Natu song (RRR to NAATU NAATU; Music by MM Keeravaani; Lyric by Chandrabose) in Oscars 2023, 2 documentary films have also been nominated at the Oscars. Including ‘All That Breathes’ (Shaunak Sen, Aman Mann and Teddy Leifer) in the ‘Documentary Feature Film’ category and ‘The Elephant Whispers’ (Kartiki Gonsalves and Guneet Monga) in the ‘Best Documentary’ category . It has been nominated in the short category (documentary short film).

Chhelo Shaw director Paan Nalin’s full name is Nalin Pandya and he is originally from Amreli. He has made internationally acclaimed films like Sansar, Valley of Flowers, Angry Indian Goddesses, Ayurveda Art of Being. Most of the shooting of his film ‘Chelo Shaw’ nominated by India for Oscar 2023 has been done in Gujarat. The film is director Pan Nalin’s childhood memories. The film ‘Chelo Show’ stars Bhavin Rabari, Vikas Bata, Richa Meena, Bhavesh Shrimali, Deepen Rawal and Rahul Koli in lead roles. The film ‘Chello Shaw’ talks about the journey of single screen theaters in Indian cinema, how cinema shifted from celluloid to digital. At present many single screen theaters are closed in India. The film ‘Chello Shaw’ has received good response from all over the world.
