There has been a dispute between the producer of the serial ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ Asit Kumar Modi (Asit Kumar Modi) and actress Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal (Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal), who plays the role of Roshan Bhabhi in the show. Jennifer Mistry had accused Asit Kumar Modi of sexual harassment. When the show’s project head Sohil Ramani and executive producer Jatin Bajaj were accused of mental harassment. Jennifer Mistry had filed a complaint against all three last month. Now the police has taken action on 19th June. According to the report, the police have registered a case against these three under sections 354 and 509 of the IPC.
Asit Modi reacted
Asit Kumar Modi has reacted to the issue after the police registered the crime. Issuing a statement, Asit Kumar Modi said, ‘We deny all the allegations leveled against us. We have recorded our statement with the police. We do not know whether an FIR has been lodged or not. Since the matter is under investigation, we do not wish to comment further.”
What did Jennifer say on the FIR?
Jennifer Mistry has also given her reaction on the FIR registered against Asit Kumar Modi, Jatin Bajaj and Sohil Ramani. Speaking to Pinkvilla, she said, “On the evening of June 19, I was called to the police station. I reached there at 7.30 am and stayed there till 12.30 pm. Finally, the police have registered an FIR. They have told me that if necessary But the police can call me for questioning. Now the law will give me justice as I have tried everything possible. The FIR which was pending for the last few days has finally been registered.”

The issue has been hot ever since Jennifer Mistry left the show accusing the makers of sexual harassment and mental torture. Jennifer said that Asit Modi has abused her many times. When Jennifer was working on the show, Jennifer had also talked about mentally torturing Sohil and Jati. After the allegations made by Jennifer, Monica Bhadoria, Malav Rajda, Priya Ahuja came in her support. He shared his experience of working with Jennifer. Asit Modi claimed that Jennifer misbehaved on the sets and was not disciplined, which was denied by all three.
