Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, who was seen in the role of Roshan Bhabhi in ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ for 15 years, created panic in the TV industry by making serious allegations against the makers. She alleged physical abuse against the show’s producer Asit Kumar Modi and mental harassment against project head Sohail Ramani and executive head Jatin Bajaj. The actress had recorded her statement before the police on May 24 and now action has been taken against all three. According to a news agency, on the basis of Jennifer’s complaint, the Powai police have registered a case under sections 354 and 509 of the IPC. So far no one has been arrested in this case.
Case registered against Asit Modi
A month back, in an exclusive interview to our partner Etimes TV, Jennifer had revealed that she had quit the show TMKOC in March. Along with this, Asit Modi said that he has tried to take advantage of this many times. He said that it was his death anniversary on the day of shooting of Holi incident. He had already told that he was going to take half a day. However, Sohail Ramani and Jatin Bajaj refused when they asked to go home on the day of the shoot. When the actress left for home in the car, Sohail closed the gate and Jatin stopped his car. Apart from this, he also said that when the team went to Singapore to shoot a special episode a few years ago, Asit offered to drink whiskey with them in his room. She refused and the next day when she was standing in the balcony of the hotel, Asit Modi approached her and expressed his desire to kiss her lips. Jennifer said that she was putting up with all this because the show has given her a lot and hence she did not want to malign her.

So a day ago in an interview given to ETimes TV, he said that ‘I had recorded my statement on 24 May. After which I got a call from the police asking for the contact numbers of Asit Modi and others as they were not responding to the mail sent a week ago. I got this call on 30-31 May. They were waiting for a reply to the mail. On June 3, the police got a call and said that Asit Modi is saying that I am his wife’s friend. Apart from this, Sohail Ramani also said good things about me. I didn’t get any update after 3rd June’.
