The ongoing dispute between former Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actress Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal and producer Asit Kumar Modi has taken a new turn. Jennifer had recorded her statement in front of the Mumbai Police a few days back and finally taking action, project head Sohail Ramani and executive producer Jatin Bajaj have been booked along with Asit. A day earlier, the Powai Police has registered a case against the three under Section 354 and Section 509 of the IPC. However, no arrest has been made so far. Now ‘Roshan Bhabhi’ has spoken on the allegations leveled against her by the producer.

In a conversation with Aaj Tak.in, Jennifer said that on May 24, I had given a statement. After that there was no development in the case. Meanwhile, I was once again called to the police station and told that I had taken Asit Modi’s statement on 3rd June. Even after his statement, I was waiting for development, but when nothing happened, I filed the case two days back. I was writing the statement in the police station from 7:30 to 12 midnight. I didn’t want anything from the beginning. Wanted to keep quiet on the whole matter. But they were continuously sending me notices. It was said in the media that I used to abuse my co-artists and have internal fights. I kept my word when I went there.

ICC committee was formed after the allegation
The actress further said, ‘He sat silently for a long time. Then I felt that something was wrong. Later on Saturday, my lawyer received a long notice, in which he said that he had constituted an internal committee called ICC on 22 May. It was also written on the letterhead of Neela Tele Films to form a committee, against whose producer I have accused of physical abuse. Workers including barber, accountant and personal assistant were included in this committee. Also, it was written in the notice that I cannot take my lawyer during the committee meeting nor can I say anything in front of the media.

‘Now a letter has been sent on behalf of Asit Modi to the same ACC committee, in which an attempt has been made to defame me. It is written that I used to create ruckus on the sets after drinking alcohol. Mac used to beat co-actors and dominate them. He also wrote that he is a father figure to everyone on the set and the actors are his family’, said Jennifer.
