Four Hindi Movies Describing the Glorious History of Hindu Emperors

The film ‘Prithviraj’, which narrates the life of the last Hindu emperor of India, Prithviraj Chauhan, will be released in theaters on June 3. The story of this movie is taken from Prithviraj Chauhan’s book ‘Prithviraj Raso’ by Rajkavi Chandbardai. Many stories are recorded in this book about Prithviraj Chauhan’s self-respect, bravery, courage and worth. In the 12th century, Chandbardai wrote a composition called ‘Mat Chuke Chauhan’. At this, Chandbardai wrote while addressing Prithviraj: “Four bamboo twenty-four yards proof Angul Ashta, above is the sultan, don’t miss Chauhan!” After sitting on the throne of Delhi, Prithviraj Chauhan defeated the Muslim invader Mohammad Ghori 16 times in war. But the emperor was defeated for the seventeenth time due to King Jaichand’s betrayal. After this, Ghori took him captive, he broke his eyes, but with the help of Chandbardai, Prithviraj killed him.

Very few accounts of Prithviraj Chauhan’s valor are recorded in the history books of India. In such a situation, after 18 years of long research, Dr. Chandra Prakash Dwivedi is making a movie about it. Superstar Akshay Kumar plays the role of the great warrior Prithviraj Chauhan in this historical drama produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films. Actors like Sanjay Dutt, Manushi Chillar, Sonu Sood, Ashutosh Rana and Sakshi Tanwar have major roles with him. In the film, Prithviraj’s wife’s character Sanyogita was played by Miss World Manushi Chhillar, Rajkavi Chandbardai’s character Sonu Sood, Manav Vij played the main villain i.e. Muhammad Gauri, Jaichand’s character Ashutosh Rana, and the character of Kaka Kanha was played by actor Sanjay Dutt. Many Muslim invaders had attacked India before Mohammad Ghori, but the Hindu rulers here have given them a proper response.

Muhammad bin Qasim was the first Muslim invader to attack India. Qasim, a resident of Saudi Arabia, attacked King Dahir Sen of Sindh in AD 711. There was a large-scale massacre and looting with the destruction of existing temples. From Muhammad bin Qasim until Aurangzeb’s death in 1707, India had to contend with the barbarity of sometimes Arab, sometimes Turkish, and sometimes Mughal rulers. The massacre of the Hindus began in the 11th century. After Qasim, Muslim rulers such as Mahmud Ghazni, Muhammad Ghori, Qutbuddin Aibak, Iltutmish, Ghiyasuddin Balban, Alauddin Khalji, Muhammad bin Tughlaq, Bahlol Lodi, Babur, Humayun, Akbar, Jahangir, Shah Jehan, and Aurangzeb ruled India. During this, his historical battle with Hindu Rajputs and Marathas has been very famous. Hindu kings have faced them bravely.
