- ICMR with new report.
- The study was conducted in people who took a single dose of Kovacs.
- Officials sharing information.
Those who received a single dose of Kovacs after being exposed to Kovid had the same immunity as those who received two doses of Kovacin. These can vary in antibody levels. Experts say preliminary findings are available, but a detailed study is needed to reach a final conclusion. Lokesh Sharma, ICMR scientist and media coordinator, said the current study is only preliminary.
He added that if the study was conducted in a large population and a positive result was obtained, it would be possible to prescribe a single dose of Kovacs to those with early Kovid. If the study is successful, there will be an opportunity to increase the availability of Kovacs in the country.
Those who confirmed Kovid-19 and took a single dose of Kovacs were tested in three stages. Antibody levels were recorded on the day of vaccination, one month after the first dose, and two months after the first dose.
