IMDb couldn’t stomach The Kashmir Files’ rating of 10 out of 10, rejected as ‘fake’, so the controversy began!

IMDb, a website famous for movie and TV audience reviews, changed the way of calculating the rating of the Hindi movie The Kashmir Files, which was released three days ago. Due to the change, The Kashmir Files now appears to be getting an 8.3 out of 10 rating on IMDb instead of a 10 out of 10 rating. Regarding the change, IMDb said that they saw “unusual voting activity” for the film. However, many users on Twitter have expressed their discontent with the change. Even Vivek Agnihotri, director of The Kashmir Files, has taken notice of the matter and called it ‘immoral’.

As of this writing, The Kashmir Files shows a rating of 8.3 out of 10 on IMDb. More than 2 lakh 32 thousand users have rated it. In recent years, such a tremendous rating has not been seen for any movie released in theaters. Nothing for an Indian movie. Jai Bhim, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video last year, definitely got strong ratings after its release here. Jai Bhim had overtaken Hollywood’s The Shawshank Redemption to become the biggest movie in terms of audiences. Sher Shah, Mimi and Sardar Udham had also achieved excellent ratings before Jai Bhim.

By the way, the way IMDb has shown the trend, getting a 10 out of 10 rating for a movie can be considered a surprise in and of itself. That too for a film that is being accused of propaganda and religious division. But when it comes to participating on IMDb, whatever the reason, Vivek Agnihotri’s film attracts users. Here its effect can be seen in the reaction of more than 2 lakh 32 thousand people. By the way, even after changing the method of the movie, more than 94 percent of people rated the movie 10 points out of 10. Only 4 percent of people have rated the movie one point.

Jai Bhim is now ahead but most people visit The Kashmir Files

Jai Bhim is now looking to the future due to the rating change. Suriya’s film scored 9.4 out of 10 and has been rated by around 80 thousand people. It is interesting that despite the participation of more than 2 lakh 32 thousand people in The Kashmir Files, the film is lagging behind.

The Kashmir Files is benefiting from the discussions. The Kapil Sharma controversy, some court petitions, and audience reactions have given the film a tremendous edge. Until now, many political personalities have also created an atmosphere of support for the film. This film has been made tax-free in many BJP-ruled states. The box office of the movie also looks tremendous. Despite being released on fewer screens, the film earned over Rs 27 crore in the first three days on the domestic market. Even more, it is estimated that the additional earnings of the film will generate tremendous profits.
