Is Kartik Aaryan’s Freddy going to hurt Ayushmann Khurrana’s N Action Hero?

Thriller-thriller drama ‘Freddy’, directed by Shashank Ghosh, is streaming on OTT. The creators had decided to broadcast Freddy directly on the Disney Plus Hotstar platform instead of theaters. By the way, even before the broadcast, Freddy’s first poster and teaser video had attracted a lot of attention from the audience. In fact, for the first time in his career, Karthik Aryan is seen playing a character that has not been seen before. Role of a killer dentist in a suspenseful thriller drama. Actually, the story of the film centers on a young Parsi dentist, Dr. Freddy Jinwala, whose character is played by Karthik.

Freddy is a dentist whose past is not ordinary. He wants to get married. I’m looking for a girl but I can’t find any. One day a girl named Kainaz comes to the clinic. She has also encountered this before and lost her heart. Despite the fact that Kainaaz is married and is a victim of domestic violence at the hands of her husband. Freddie feels about Cainaz’s situation. They both approach each other. He wants to get married too. Now the problem is how can Kainaj separate from her husband? Kainaz decides to kill her husband with Freddy’s help, Freddy kills her too, as shown in the movie. The curious thing is that after the murder of Kainaz’s husband, there is a strong twist in the story. Overall, the revenge story of a heartbroken dentist is very strong and the same can be heavy for Ayushmann Khurrana in theatres.

Is Freddy a threat to the action hero?

In fact, along with Freddy, Ayushmann and Jaideep Ahlawat’s action comedy drama ‘An Action Hero’ has also been released in theaters. Although the film’s reviews are good, Freddy seems to be doing some damage to Ayushmann’s film for a number of reasons. Last year when Karthik’s Dhamaka came out on OTT (19th Nov) on Covid condition, it was also seen how Dhamaka had damaged all the movies in theaters after improving word of mouth. Especially due to the explosion, Yash Raj Films’ Bunty Aur Babli 2 suffered direct damage. Bunty Aur Babli 2 was released in theaters.

If we talk about Karthik’s Freddy and Ayushmann’s N Action Hero, then the ease of viewing puts Karthik ahead of Ayushmann. Freddy is on the Disney platform. It’s natural for viewers who have a Disney subscription to watch Freddy instead of going to the theater to see a movie. Who would want to spend money going to the movie theater to see a new movie on the weekend? You may also see an action hero later on, but Ayushmann’s movie number will come only after Freddy. Freddy will be seen more, that’s for sure.

How Karthik’s Dhamaka ruined Bunty Aur Babli 2 in theaters?

It is natural that there will be more reactions regarding Freddy. Based on audience count, the reach of OTT is more than theaters right now. It is obvious that if the film is seen more, the reactions will also be greater. Since the content is a suspenseful thriller and word of mouth is already good, it will attract more viewers. This means that despite having some good content, N Action Hero seems to be lost due to Freddy to a large extent.

The only good thing about N Action Hero is that its content is appreciated. There is an attraction of good content. The audience catches a glimpse of it as soon as it arrives at the movie theater. If the content had been bad, the challenges at the box office for Ayushmann’s film could have been like a mountain. The content of Bunty Aur Babli 2, which was presented in front of Dhamaka, was bad. There was also fear in theaters because of Covid. At that time, people also preferred to live in houses. Bunty Aur Babli 2 didn’t even get a chance in the first week before Dhamaka for people to come to theaters to see the movie. By the end of the first week, Bunty Aur Babli’s game 2 was over at the box office. More new movies came to the competition.

An action hero may not suffer the same fate as Bunty Aur Babli 2 and survive a tough fight with Freddy.
