Kappa variant confirmed in two; CM looking for information

At KGMU Hospital in Lucknow, 109 samples were analyzed and 107 samples were confirmed to be delt variants. With the discovery of the Kappa variant, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stepped in and sought information.
The delta, alpha and kappa variants of Covid are critical in nature. The concern is that the diffusion capacity is high. Meanwhile, the Union Ministry of Health has so far distributed 36.89 crore doses of Kovid vaccine in the country. On July 8, the 174th day of the vaccine’s distribution, more than 40 lakh of vaccines were distributed, authorities said.
According to figures published by the Union Ministry of Health this morning, 43,393 cases of Kovid have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours. This brings the total number of Kovid victims to 3,07,52,950. There are currently 4,58,727 active cases of Kovid in the country. The Health Ministry said 2,98,88,284 people had been cured. A total of 44,459 people were discharged from the hospital yesterday. Kovid’s total kills increased to 4.05,939.
