Lucknow: Congressional leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi have arrived at Lakhimpur Kheri. The two arrived at the scene around 7pm. The leaders are visiting the homes of the murdered farmers. A delegation of seven members of Congress is making the visit.

The congressional team reached the home of the murdered Lovepreet Singh first. The group also visited the home of a local journalist who was killed while filming the clashes. Rahul Gandhi left New Delhi for Lucknow at 12.30 pm. He was detained by UP police at Lucknow airport. UP police allowed him to travel in his own vehicle after being stabbed for an hour and a half.

Around 5 p.m., Rahul arrived at the guest house where Priyanka Gandhi was being held. Rahul went to Lakhimpur with Priyanka after spending three days in custody. Rahul and Priyanka are accompanied by two senior ministers and other leaders.

Along with Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Channi, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Bhagal and arrested Priyanka, Rajya Sabha members Deepender Singh Hooda, AICC secretaries KC Venugopal and Randeep Singh Surjewala are also in the group.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has voluntarily presented a case in the murder of farmers case. A bank headed by Chief Justice NV Ramana will hear the case tomorrow. Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister Ajay Mishra, was charged with murder during the riots.

It is alleged that Minister Ajay Mishra and his son Ashish Mishra conspired. The peasant organization demanded the arrest of the minister and his son. A video has come out saying that Ashish Mishra was at the scene. A farmer who was present at the scene told police that Ashish Mishra was in the tar vehicle that hit the farmers.
