Mandira Bedi’s husband and director Raj Kaushal dies of heart attack

Bollywood actress Mandira Bedi’s husband and director Raj Kaushal has passed away. 49-year-old Raj Kaushal died of a heart attack on Wednesday morning at 4.30 am. This has been confirmed by Jeet Salwani, a personal friend of Mandira Bedi’s family.

“It’s true, he passed away early in the morning due to a heart attack,” Jeet Salwani told our correspondent ITimes. Raj Kaushal directed films like Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi and Shaadi Ka Laddu. Apart from this, Raj Kaushal has also directed commercials.

On Sunday, Mandira and Raj Kaushal had a small get-up. Close friends Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi, Sagarika Ghatge, cricketers Zaheer Khan, Ashish Chowdhary and his wife were present. Ashish Chowdhary was the first person to reach the temple house after this sad news came.

Filmmaker Onir Raj tweeted remembering Kaushal. He wrote, “Gone too fast. This morning we lost filmmaker and producer Raj Kaushal. He was one of the producers of my first film ‘My Brother Nikhil’. He was one of the few people who saw my vision. I believed in him. I pray for his soul.”

Mandira and Raj Kaushal adopted their 4-year-old daughter Tara in July last year. Mandira and Raj have a son named Veer.
