More than 500 threatening calls; Case against Shashikala due to a complaint from the former AIADMK minister

Chennai: After a hiatus, a dispute broke out within the AIADMK opposition in Tamil Nadu. The police have registered a case against VK Sasikala. Anna has brought a case against former DMK leader and close friend of Jayalalithaa, Shashikala, and his followers for threatening former Minister CV Shanmughan.

CV Shanmughan was Minister of Law in the previous AIADMK government. The FIR has registered against Shashikala and 501 followers.

The case was registered at the Roshanai Police Station in the Villupuram District of Tamil Nadu. The case has been registered under sections 506 (1), 507 and 109 of the Indian Penal Code and section 67 of the Information Technology Act 2000 (penalty for posting or transmitting pornographic material in electronic format) .

The death threat came after he made a statement against Shashikala on June 7. Shanmugam had filed the complaint on the 9th of this month. According to the complaint, some 500 death threats were received from Shashikala.
