New Delhi: Navjot Singh Sidhu will continue as chairman of the Punjab CCP. The decision was made after talks with Congress Secretary General KC Venugopal and Punjab Acting Secretary General Harish Rawat. Sidhu said that the High Command would accept any decision that was made.

He shared his concerns with Highcommand. Sidhu said he was confident that whatever decision Sonia Gandhi, Rahul and Priyanka made, it would be for the good of Punjab. He added that he will accept the decision of the senior officials in Congress.

Sidhu Punjab announced his resignation from the CCP on Twitter after Charanjit Singh Channi became the Chief Minister and the cabinet was reorganized to replace Amarinder Singh. The ministers also resigned in support of Sidhu. But Sidhu’s resignation was not accepted by the High Command.

Sidhu has said that he will accept the decision of the president of Congress. Sidhu will continue as president of the PCC. The official announcement will be made tomorrow, Harish Rawat said.

Meanwhile, former Chief Minister Amarinder Singh and Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh had met today. The meeting took place at Amarinder Singh’s country house in Mohali. This is Amarinder Singh’s first meeting with Charanjit Singh after taking a public position against the party.
