Now the apology of the audience is ‘Brahmastra’

Only four days remain until the premiere of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s long-awaited film ‘Brahmastra’. But, like Aamir Khan’s film ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’, calls are being made for a boycott of ‘Brahmastra’. Social media is awash with videos like Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘I’m Big Beef Guy’ and Alia Bhatt’s ‘Don’t Dekho Film’. However, it is a relief to ‘Brahmastra’ that filmmaker Karan Johar’s call for a boycott against this film is not as sharp as that of ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’. Seeing which it can be expected that the status of the movie ‘Brahmastra’ is not at least like ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’. In short, now the apology of the audience is ‘Brahmastra’.

If Bollywood has experimented with ‘Brahmastra’ with typical Bollywood masala movies. Therefore, it is certain that he will be defeated.

Aamir Khan pleaded, but the hearts of the audience did not break a sweat

Seeing the boycott campaign against the movie ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ on social media, Aamir Khan not only apologized to the audience before the premiere. Rather, he had also joined the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign of the Government of India (Modi Sarkar). In a nutshell, Aamir Khan was almost in a state of begging in front of the audience to make Lal Singh Chaddha a hit. But, none of Aamir Khan’s efforts did not work out for ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’. And it is that, this apology of Aamir Khan did not leave the heart of the audience happy. Because such controversies were added in the name of Aamir Khan. Who had hurt not only the honor of the country but also the feelings associated with the symbols of Hinduism.

Artistic freedom vs Spectator freedom

In Bollywood, for a long time, in the name of artistic freedom, a narrative bastion has been made against Hinduism and the smaller symbols associated with it. Speaking of this narrative, the character with Hindu symbols in the movie will be very corrupt, cruel and full of demerits. But, a person of any other religion becomes more liberal and secular. For example, Sanjay Dutt recently played the role of a policeman in Ranbir Kapoor’s film Shamshera. One who wears a tilak on his forehead and a crest in his hair. But, his behavior is more like that of ruthless criminals than that of the police. There are many such examples. Not many days have passed since the black cartel controversy. In short, in the name of artistic freedom, the religious sentiments associated with Hinduism have always been under attack.

By the way, it would not be wrong to say that if Bollywood has Artistic Freedom, then the audience also has Spectator Freedom. When such a film is made by Bollywood. That makes fun of Hinduism or its symbols. So the boycott trend runs against you. If it is seen, then the audience, that is, the viewer has every right to accept or boycott what? After all, the audience is also a consumer. If the consumer has not liked any article. Therefore, she is free to give bad reviews about it and boycott it. It works the same as Artistic Freedom. Yes Bollywood is free to serve anything in the name of entertainment. So the audience is also free to boycott it.

After all, making fun of the sentiments of most Hindus, Bollywood cannot appeal to them by saying ‘Let’s definitely watch our movie’. Because in this film we have taken the movie stars who bring down the head of the country. And, it has fueled the agenda against Hinduism. As an example, Karni Sena opposed the hit movie ‘Padmavat’. Padmavat was not very successful in some parts of the country. So shouldn’t that have been a lesson for Bollywood? But it seems that Bollywood has not learned any lesson from all these things.

If ‘Brahmastra’ is also a box office success, it will be a lesson for Bollywood.

It is believed that the movie ‘Brahmastra’ based on mythological weapons can earn decent money at the box office. Because, the mythological staging of ‘Brahmastra’ has been news among the audience. However, this is likely to happen only if ‘Brahmastra’ does not turn out to be a typical Bollywood masala film. Because, in a typical Bollywood masala movie, the character of another religion is forcibly chosen. Which plays an important role in the victory of good over evil. Or other similar things forcibly become part of the movie.

Speaking of ‘Brahmastra’, it is the story of mythological weapons associated with Hinduism. If an attempt has been made to force romantic or love scenes into the film. So this can overwhelm ‘Brahmastra’. At the same time, if there has been an attempt to force things like Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb or tolerance into the film. So this is going to be bad for the movie. At the same time, if these things do not happen in the movie ‘Brahmastra’. So the movie can be a box office hit. But, this will be a lesson for Bollywood. In short, now the apology of the audience is ‘Brahmastra’.
