His posters were put up by Hindu Sena outside the NCB office in Delhi in support of NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede. Which was removed by the officials of the agency. Hindu Sena came out in support of the zonal director amid the ongoing tussle between Maharashtra leader Nawab Malik and Sameer Wankhede. Sameer Wankhede is currently investigating the drug case of Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan.

Nationalist Congress Party leader Nawab Malik had earlier questioned the birth certificate of Sameer Wankhede. “The fraud of Sameer Dawood Wankhede started from here,” Malik said.

Also on Tuesday, Malik said that he had received a letter from a Narcotics Control Bureau official alleging that the anti-drug agency had falsely implicated several people. Malik said that 26 cases were mentioned in the letter he had received. It is alleged that Sameer Wankhede “did not follow proper rules during the investigation of the case”.

Nawab Malik also challenged his father and sister Sameer Wankhede to file a defamation suit against him. “They are ready for it and they will fight in court,” he said. Meanwhile, Sameer Wankhede said that all the allegations against him are false.

Sameer Wankhede’s father is upset with the rumours, said- ‘My name is Gyandev, not Dawood’
Director General of Bureau of Narcotics Control Mutha Ashok Jain told ANI, “I have seen the letter.” We will take appropriate action.

Sameer Wankhede’s father also responded to Nawab Malik’s allegations. “My real name is Gyandev Wankhede,” he said. My name is Gyandev since birth and it is the same even today. In school, college as well as in living certificate, my name is Gyandev Wankhede. I have nothing to do with the name David. I don’t know where they came from. They are spreading lies.
