New Delhi: The police in the national capital are on high alert. Eleven senior IPS officers in Delhi have been transferred to DCP positions. Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana said this will bring transparency and accountability to more jobs.

After the big shakeup, six of Delhi’s 15 police districts will be run by DCP women. The order, signed by Undersecretary Pawan Kumar, was approved by Delhi Deputy Governor Anil Baijal for transfers and allocations.

According to India Today, about 10 officers are from the Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar, Lakshadweep, Dadra, Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu police services.

There are women’s DCPs in six districts. Benita Mary Jaiker, a 2010 batch IPS officer, is the DCP in charge of the southern district. He served as DCP of the Seventh Battalion.

Shweta Chauhan is in charge of the central region. Isha Pandey will be in charge of the southeast region. Apart from this, Usha Rani, Priyanka Kashyap and Urvija Goyal will also take over as DCP. They operate in the northwest, east, and west.

Apart from women, there has been a major crackdown on the Delhi police. Jasmeet Singh, DCP Central District, Ingit Pratap Singh, Rajeev Ranjan as DCP, South West DCP, DCP North Outer North District and designated as DCP in Special Cell. KPS Malhotra has also been designated as the Cyber ​​Cell DCP.
