Reluctant to take the Kovid vaccine; Center fires Air Force employee

Ahmedabad: The central government fired an Air Force employee who refused to receive the Kovid-19 vaccine. Additional Attorney General Devang Vyas told the Gujarat High Court. The name of the person who was fired from the job is not specified.

There are nine officials in the country who have refused to receive the Kovid vaccine. A notice was sent to them stating the reason. However, the person who did not respond in time despite receiving the notice was fired. The government told the court that the vaccine was mandatory and part of Air Force service.

Covid needs to be vaccinated to make sure the military is well equipped. Therefore, the government said that everyone who works as part of the military should be vaccinated. The Center has clarified this in a petition submitted by IAF Corporal Yogendra Kumar.

The Army issued a notice to Yogendra Kumar regarding the receipt of the vaccine. “I do not want to be vaccinated against Kovid-19, but all members of the armed forces must be vaccinated. The notice of the cause of the show that was given to me must be revoked,” he said. With this, the court ordered the Air Force to give special consideration to Yogendra Kumar’s case.
