Former India captain Wasim Jaffer described the performance as the best ball of the century in women’s cricket. Shikha Alyssa Healy was fired in the first over of the second T20I. The ball, which combined speed and swing, bounced off the bail of Alyssa’s middle stump. Both fans and cricket experts say that there is no question that this is one of the best balls in the history of cricket.
Earlier in the day, India scored 119 of 9 in 20 overs. Pooja Vastrakar (37 of 26 balls) and Captain Harmanpreet Kaur (28 of 20 balls) were the main contributors in the Indian innings. For Australia, Tayla Wloming and Sophie Molinex took two wickets each.
Despite the sudden loss of Alyssa Healy, Australia beautifully pursued and won against India. Beth Mooney (34 of 36 balls) and Captain Meg Lanning (15 of 20 balls) led the way. India lost the draw and chose the field.
