- ICC to host ICC T20 World Cup in UAE and Oman
- The T20 World Cup will be held from October 17 to November 14
- The World Cup has not taken place since the West Indies won the title in 2016

In the first round, the eight teams will be divided into two groups. One of the two groups will play in the United Arab Emirates and the other in Oman. Two teams from each group will advance to Super 12. Super 12 matches will begin on October 24. The competition will be divided into two groups of six teams each. The three play-offs, semi-finals and final will take place later.
The T20 World Cup has not been held since 2016. The current champions are the West Indies. Kovid was subsequently postponed after trying to host the tournament in Australia last year. The World Cup begins two days after the final of the IPL 2021. The IPL will take place in the UAE starting on September 19. The final of the IPL is October 15. Players arriving in the UAE for the IPL can directly participate in the T20 World Cup.
