Produced by Applause Entertainment in association with BBC Studios India, the ‘Bloody Brothers’ web series is directed by Shaad Ali. It is said to be an Indian adaptation of the British mystery thriller ‘Gilt’. It stars Tina Desai, Shruti Seth, Maya Alag, Mugdha Godse, Satish Kaushik, and Jitendra Joshi along with Jaideep Ahlawat and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub. This six-episode web series revolves around two brothers. In this one brother is rich and the other is poor. But the wheel of time turns in such a way that everything becomes turbulent. A fun comedy has been added between the mystery and the thrill in the web series. In this one, three experienced actors, Jaideep Ahlawat, Satish Kaushik and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub, have given their best performance. Due to this, the web series has become spectacular and interesting.
All the actors have performed well in the web series ‘Bloody Brothers’, which is broadcast on the OTT platform Zee5.
The makers are wrong every time in the adaptation of any foreign series or film. Every time a mistake is made in bringing history made and shaped in a culture outside the Indian environment. As was the case with Ajay Devgan’s debut web series ‘Rudra: The Age of Darkness’. This series is a Hindi remake of the British show ‘Luther’. But due to the mistake of the writing team, this series has had no impact. Instead, ‘Bloody Brothers’, despite being a remake of a British series, leaves a deep impact. For this, the credit goes to the excellent acting of the actors and the tight story. Director Shaad Ali falters a bit in the opening episode, but then the story has been served up in such a way that the audience will be forced to stay in their seats. Its stellar projection from above is also excellent. Despite the absence of a major star, actors such as Jaideep Ahlawat, Mugdha Godse, Satish Kaushik, and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub have delivered such melodramatic performances that they have turned the web series into a binge. It can be seen on weekends on the occasion of Holi.
“Whatever we think is a snake, that rope came out and there’s no poison on the rope,” he narrates. Actually what happens is that there are two real brothers. Jagjit (Jaideep Ahlawat) and Daljit (Mohammed Zeeshan Ayub). There is a lot of difference between the two. One rich and the other poor. The nature of both is also completely opposite to each other. Jagjit is a lawyer. He runs his own law firm. But he is doing a lot under the guise of it. While Daljit runs a bookstore. One night the two brothers were driving home in the same car. A big accident happens on the way. A middle-aged man dies after being under his car. Both brothers leave her there and run away. But that incident does not forget the younger brother Daljit. He repeatedly comes up in gold and calls out his brother. Older brother Jagjit explains to him that no one has seen this incident, so he should keep calm, not talk about it. Meanwhile, the police begin to investigate the matter.
Daljit tells his brother Jagjit that his bag was left at the house he last visited. The person who dies without luck also owns the same house. His daughter wants to get to the murderers of her father. Jagjit tells his brother that he should sneak away, get his bag from there, so that the last trail ends there as well. But when Daljit comes to that house, many incidents happen to him, so he can’t find his bag. Meanwhile, many new characters enter the story, so the matter gradually becomes interesting. The most interesting character in this one is Handa Saheb, played by Satish Kaushik. Handa sahib’s actions and conversations continue to tie the knot in the series. In one place he says: “This love is a wonderful thing, and if a woman falls in love with another woman, it is an even more wonderful thing”… In fact, the OTT era began to show homosexual relationships as normal. It is. Web series creators feel that this is the truth of society, that it should be shown.
Director Shaad Ali (who previously directed ‘Call My Agent Bollywood’) along with his writing team Siddharth Hirve, Anuj Rajoria, Riya Pujari, Navneet Singh Raju have done a great job in this dark comedy. The deterioration of the relationship between the two brothers, the black comedy, the unexpected twists and the one-liners contribute significantly to the success of the story. There is more comedy in the initial episodes, but as the story progresses it becomes more serious and builds emotion. As far as the acting of the cast is concerned, they have all contributed significantly, but Jaideep Ahlawat and Satish Kaushik are the stars of the show. His acting performance is the most balanced. Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub also does Daljit’s character justice. Shruti Seth and Mugdha Godse played their roles well, but their story seems a bit rushed and crude. Jitendra Joshi as Dushyant is brilliant. Tina Desai and Maya Alagh have also played their roles well. In general, this web series can be seen this Sunday.
