The second season of ‘Arodha’ will show the history of ‘Demonetization’ from the point of view of the Army

“Either I come back after winning the tricolor or I’m involved in it, but I’m sure I’m definitely coming.” Our Jawans are always attentive to the security of the country. They do not shy away from sacrificing when necessary. The heroic saga of such soldiers, a symbol of courage and indomitable bravery, has been written in the book ‘India’s Most Fearless’. Its authors are Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. A web series ‘Avarodha’ based on the inspiring stories in this book is streaming on the OTT platform Sony Liv. The trailer for its second season ‘Avarodha 2: The Siege Within’ has been released. Produced under the Applause Entertainment banner, the series stars Abir Chatterjee, Mohan Agashe, Neeraj Kabi, Anant Mahadevan, Aahana Kumra, Rajesh Khattar, and Sanjay Suri in pivotal roles.

In the first season of the web series ‘Arodha’, where surgical attacks are carried out on the terrorists located across the border, in the second season the traitors and hidden enemies within the country have been attacked. In this, for the first time, the story of demonetization has been presented from the perspective of the Indian Army. Until now, people only know that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had decided to demonetize in order to eliminate corruption and black money in the country. But very few people know that with this decision, Prime Minister Modi broke the backs of the terrorists who had taken refuge across the border. Pakistan received an adequate response without saying anything. At that time, Pakistan had sent counterfeit banknotes worth billions of rupees to his country. With the help of that counterfeit currency, he was damaging our economic system and also using it to promote terrorism. Army intelligence informed the prime minister.

“I work in the Indian Army and for me my country is my family”… The tone of the webseries can be understood from this dialogue of Pradeep, the main character of the trailer. In this, for the first time, terrorism and economic warfare have been shown together. How a country wages an economic war with its enemy country has been well presented. Its 2 minute 14 second trailer takes a look at the entire series. The first scene begins in Amritsar, Punjab. There a woman asks the leader of a gang to sow terror. He tells her that she will require a lot of money. The woman says it will be done at 100 million rupees. The gang members are shocked to hear this. After this it is shown that an official from the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI says that he is going to start an economic war with India.

In the economic war, without bullets, without bombing, the condition of a country can be spoiled. Your economy could be ruined and you could be forced to kneel. To do this, a large number of shipments of counterfeit bills are sent throughout the country. The financing of terrorism is also done through that money. As soon as Army Intelligence obtains this information, the Prime Minister is immediately informed. The PM makes the demonetization decision, under which high denomination banknotes such as 1000 and 500 bills are cancelled. In such a decision, both terrorism and Pakistan’s plans are thwarted. After seeing the trailer, one thing has been understood: the second season is going to be more interesting than the first. Because it will also show the economic war with terrorism, which is a new topic for people in terms of cinema.

Bengali actor Abir Chatterjee, who plays the lead character in the web series Pradeep, says, “I am very excited about this web series. I am looking forward to the broadcast of ‘Aavarodha 2’ on Sony Liv which will start on June 24. It’s been an incredible experience working on such a popular show. Audiences have loved the first season of this series. The triple dose of excitement, action and entertainment makes this season’s story even better. In this season, I play the role of Pradeep, a Renta officer who has been a Major in the Army. He was involved in the surgical strikes in Uri. From a disciplined officer to a dedicated family man, portraying him in all his facets. It has been a wonderful experience to do. All the The cast and crew on the show have done an amazing job. I look forward to keeping the audience entertained.”
