Chennai: Scenes of a student brutally beaten in a classroom are posted. The images were posted at the Nanthanar Government School in Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu.

The teacher hit and crushed the student for not getting to class on time. The boy was seen lying on the ground, beaten with a stick and trampled on. The student was also brought to his knees and beaten.

In the scenes, some students are seen being held back when the teacher hits them.

However, it is not clear what happened. Doubts also arise as to whether Kovid preceded him. Neither the children nor the teacher seem to be wearing masks. It is doubtful that this is a previous incident.

MP Karthi P Chidambaram and others have come out demanding strict action in the incident. The Cuddalore district collector has ordered an investigation into the incident.

Demands have been made from various parts of Tamil Nadu for the teacher to be suspended and severe measures taken. The incident is supposed to have taken place this week or last week.
