Puneet Rajkumar suffered a heart attack and was taken to Vikram Hospital where he was immediately admitted to the ICU for treatment. But the 46-year-old actor was declared dead on October 29 at 2.30 pm. After the death of the Kannada actor, the Karnataka government also swung into action and police patrols were deployed to maintain law and order. Along with 6,000 police personnel, 40 KSRP soldiers as well as RAF soldiers have been deployed for the last rites of Puneet Kumar.

Prohibition on sale of liquor for two days

The last rites will be performed with the political honours of Puneet Rajkumar. His body is kept at Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru. Teva has been carefully banned from selling liquor in Bengaluru for two nights till the midnight of 31 October. Along with this, patrolling has also been increased.
