Toofan Review: How did Rakesh Mehra let go of a good movie by tricking her into falling in love with jihad?

Before Toofan’s broadcast on Amazon Prime Video, the glimpses of the movie in the teaser, trailer, and some songs were truly amazing. This is why almost eight years after Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Rakeysh’s partner Omprakash Mehra and Farhan Akhtar had created a lot of hope regarding Toofan. But they say, don’t you have thousands of wishes so that each wish has its power? Despite aspirations of regret, the storm does not stop in any category in front of Masterpiece Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. In the end, there are many buts left in the storm.

But-but they’re saving themselves because there was no shortage of range in the storm. The sports drama had a very entertaining story. But he got caught in unnecessary accidents. It weakened the soul of the film itself. So what does it matter that Farhan Akhtar, Paresh Rawal, and Mrinal Thakur performed well? Vijay Raj or some other stars did a good job too. Or Rakesh Mehra shot the storm well. If the story itself is broken, how much can be tied to the editing of the film itself? Without a solid story, everything else is meaningless. Remember Abhishek Bachchan’s career in which Vijay Raj played the most interesting and entertaining comic character in Hindi. But except for its sequence, there is nothing left in the movie.

Aside from Aamir Khan’s Ghulam, Ajay Devgan’s Jigar, Toofan Barbas remembers the biopic Mohammad Ali. It seems that the spices of these three films were trying to create a fictional Mohammed Ali of Mumbai by flaunting the current political debate. But the result is not effective at all. This is not even the story of Aziz Ali, the unclaimed Ajju Mian, a boxer from Dombivali. Ajju commits vandalism and repossession. That is the destiny of his life. No other great purpose. If the motive is found, then he reaches the boxing ring making the recovery. The essence of the story becomes clear from the beginning. How does Ajju achieve his purpose and why and how does he get to the boxing ring? How far does your motive go through passion? It would be nice to see the movie for these things. The story of the Toofan of Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is such that it can be called correct, inspiring and attractive in any respect.

but. Attempts have been made to show this story by twisting it so much and getting stuck in politics that but – but it held its own. As a result, the story becomes long, scattered, and distorted. Toofan was an inspiring sports story. Rakesh Mehra understood with his hands that the hero is a Muslim, so why not enter the Hindu-Muslim debate and love jihad in a romantic way? This is where the error occurred. Toofan’s story was not just for Hindu Muslim debate and love of jihad. If Rakesh Mehra had to make the same argument in this movie, then he had to rewrite history as Shah Rukh Khan’s lead, ‘Chak From India’. Otherwise, I would have made another movie on this topic other than for the storm.

Chak De India has a wonderful balance between the original story of the story and its parallel sub-story. There is also a Hindu-Muslim debate, there is also a game and it is also exciting. This balance is disturbed by the storm. When the conversation about Hindu-Muslim relations started to surface through Ajju Mian coach Hanuman Bhakt Nana Prabhu, then what does it matter that Dr. Ananya (Mrunal Thakur) was Dr. Asifa in the movie? It does not matter. A better thing than this would have been to cut down on the unnecessary length of the movie. The story could have kept it from falling apart. What remains alone but … It seems that the producers were trying to get out on the horse of the jihad of love. But as soon as he hit the heel, he ate it.

The film was ineffective on the Hindu-Muslim theme and love jihad, in which the emotion of the ring could not be brought to the screen. Remember Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Lagaan, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Mary Kom, Chak De India, Sultan and Dangal where the crowd used to stop breathing during matches. If there is a storm, there are sports dramas and lots of boxing sequences too, but watching them doesn’t cause the same chills and tingles that you see in the movies mentioned above. This is the biggest flop of the movie.

The best part of the movie is the personal performance of the actors. No one needs to be told what level of actor Farhan, Paresh Rawal or Vijay Raj is. All three work well. Mrunal Thakur’s spontaneity in character is mind-boggling. Darshan Kumar, Hussain Dalal, Supriya Pathak are also fine in their place. Some songs sound good. Since there are no movies in the Kovid era. In such a situation, the audience who wants to see the performance of the actors and the new movie can see it once.
