New Delhi: Twitter has criticized the government for continuing to clash with the government over new IT rules. Parts of India, including Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, are listed as other countries on a map posted by Twitter. The controversial map is included in a career section called Tweep Life.

All maps except Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are marked in dark blue on the map posted by Twitter. All other countries are light blue. The borders of the countries are marked with white lines and Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh are separated from India.

There have been reports that the central government is cracking down on Twitter over the incident. Clashes between the US-based social media company and the central government continue following Twitter’s stance that the country’s new IT rules cannot be accepted. The central government claims that Twitter is ignoring the country’s legal system. But the new rules are alleged to go against freedom of expression.
