- Suryakumar justifies the inclusion of Manish Pandey in the team
- Pandey scored a total of 74 runs in the Sri Lanka series
- India won the ODI series 2-1 against Sri Lanka
Suryakumar said there was nothing wrong with Pandey being included in the team. The team management made that decision. Pandey hit well in practice games. I don’t think Pandey’s departure is due to bad shots. Unfortunately he was eliminated in the final match. Therefore, the inclusion of Pandey in the team was the correct decision, Suryakumar said.
Previously, Manish Pandey was criticized for not giving him a chance on the Indian team, but for not being able to seize the opportunity. Pandey scored a total of 74 runs in the series against Sri Lanka. Pandey couldn’t find a rhythm as all the young players on the team scored well.
