Who won the box office clash between Rajkummar Rao and Taapsee Pannu?

Thriller drama ‘Hit: The First Case’, starring Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra in the lead roles, hasn’t been a stormy affair at the box office, but it has done a decent business befitting its scale. The film, directed by Shailesh Kolanu, earned Rs 1.35 crore on the first day. Trading experts had estimated first day profits in the range of Rs 1 to 1.5 crore. The movie collection is almost around the estimates. Hit is the official remake of South’s Telugu film. The original film arrived in the year 2019.

Most of the film’s first-day earnings come from multiplex chains such as PVR, Inox, and CinĂ©polis. Thanks to Rajkumar Rao, better word of mouth of the film seems to be ready. It is hoped in business circles that the film can do better business on Saturday and Sunday. Previously, Rajkumar Rao’s film Badhaai Do was also released in theaters. Badhaai Do also did not show any great feats at the box office. However, despite spending four weeks in theaters, the film somehow managed to amass a collection of just over Rs 20 crore.

Badhaai was a story of two gay youths that was served as a social comedy. The film had earned 1.65 crores on the first day. The total profit for the weekend was 7.82 crores.

Rajkummar Rao in Hit

Rajkumar Rao was also a police officer in Badhaai Do, will he go ahead or stay behind to win

Rajkummar Rao also played the role of a police officer in Badhaai Do. The film was discussed a lot due to the unique theme. Compared to Badhaai Do, even in Hit, Rajkummar Rao is in the role of a police officer. Although this film is a suspense drama in which the role of him also has psychological aspects. If seen, for the first time in his career, the actor is seen playing a tough role as a police officer. The only problem with Hit is that because he is not a mass artist, there is no enthusiasm for the film on individual screens. Despite this, even if the movie is earning 8-10 million rupees over the weekend, it is no less important. It will also be interesting to see if Rajkumar’s hit Badhaai can top the two in terms of earnings.

Taapsee Pannu lags behind Rajkumar Rao at the box office

Along with Hit The First Case, Shabas Mithu, which shows the life of cricketer Mithali Raj, was also released in theaters. Taapsee Pannu is seen lagging behind Rajkumar Rao in the clash of Bollywood movies at the box office. Shabas Mithu earned only 40 lakhs on the first day. The collection of the film will be called very disappointing. Taapsee Pannu plays the role of Mithali Raj in Shabaas Mithu. Vijay Raj is also seen in an impressive role as Mithali’s trainer. By the way, almost everyone has praised the inspiring story of Shabas Mithu, directed by Srijit Mukherjee. But the praise effect is not visible in the movie collection.

Seeing the opening collection, it is not hard to guess that the film will be hard to cross 8-10 million rupees in the weekend. If the film fails to earn Rs 8 crore in the opening weekend, it also means that the producers may also suffer a huge loss. Regardless, whether it’s Taapsee’s Shabaas Mithu or Rajkummar Rao’s hit The First Case, both films have only one week left at the box office. Ranbir Kapoor’s period drama Shamshera will premiere next week. It is a large-scale film. Needless to say, Shabas Mithu and Hit’s screen count may drop due to Shamsher.

Taapsee Pannu has a lot of experience in sports movies. Although Shabas Mithu is not his first sports drama. Before Shabas Mithu, she worked at Soorma and Rashmi Rocket. Taapsee’s work in both films was highly praised by critics.
